Domain name: around $45 a year keeps your .com.au registered. Let it lapse and your website and email stop, and the name can eventually be bought by anyone, including a competitor.
SSL certificate: $45 a year, billed separately from hosting. This is the browser padlock. Without it Chrome labels your site Not Secure, which is a hard way to lose a customer who was ready to enquire.
Hosting: $29.95 a month for managed hosting covers the server, daily backups, WordPress updates, malware monitoring and support. What each part means is on our Website Hosting & Security page.
Business email: email at your own domain runs on Google Workspace. Google currently charges about $11 per user per month on an annual plan (about $13 month-to-month, checked September 2026), and we set it up properly for a $150 one-off fee, including the records that stop your mail going to spam.
Subscriptions some sites need: booking systems, premium plugins or stock image licences apply only if your site uses them, and we tell you before anything like that goes on your site, not after.

No. Hosting is month to month and always has been.
No, it is $45 a year on its own line. We keep it separate so you can see exactly what each dollar does.
No, but we recommend it because it is reliable and portable. Whatever you choose, keep email separate from your website hosting.
The domain is yours and moves with you. Hosting and SSL end when you leave. No exit fees.
